Our educational programs teach you the technical applications required in the field through classroom instruction and real-world training at our on-site Student Salon. In about a year, you’ll gain applicable industry knowledge and fine-tuned skills for a successful and rewarding career.
Our curriculum is taught using the most current techniques and safest practices. Students receive comprehensive knowledge and gain a solid foundation as well as an introduction to sales skills.
Empire Education Group instructors are trained and certified in cosmetology training and are members of the Cosmetology Educators of America (CEA), with access to a network of industry professionals to keep abreast of the latest trends in cosmetology education.
Esthetician Program
Enjoy a glowing career in any salon or spa as an Esthetician. Our Esthetician Program teaches you how to rejuvenate, sooth and cleanse the skin by learning the application and processes for facials, waxing, makeup, business development, retail training, aromatherapy, body treatment techniques, and more.
Introduction to various skin types, textures and conditions. Each skin type requires specialized care and treatment.
Learn the fundamentals of skin care and understand how to use cleansers, exfoliating products, moisturizers, and more.
Students also understand first aid measures such as sanitizers and antiseptics.
Perform various hair removal methods such as waxing, tweezing, shaving, depilatories, laser hair removal, electrolysis, and photo epilation.
Understand facial procedures and techniques such as microdermabrasions, chemical and mechanical exfoliation, masks, and electrotherapy.
Hands-on approach for practical experience within the Student Salons working on actual clients for a real-world approach.
Apply make-up for day, evening and special occasions through learning techniques for each facial type, skin texture and color.
Learn how to enhance features and decrease problem areas.
Career placement opportunities through our network of industry partners and outside sources that are always looking for talented and trained professionals.
Dermalogica
In our Esthetician Program, students work with the world-renowned Dermalogica® skin care system. Dermalogica products include cleansers, conditioners, moisturizers, masques, concentrated boosters, specialties, treatment foundations, solar defense systems, spa body therapy, daily groomers, and more. Students are taught Dermalogica’s exclusive Face MappingSM method to analyze a client’s skin and recommend the appropriate treatments for targeted results.
Skin Therapy Program
Through our Skin Therapy Program, you’ll develop a reputable career applying relaxing and healing techniques in a spa setting. Our program incorporates anatomy, physiology, a broad range of skin care techniques, hydrotherapy, business development, spa management, spa training, retail knowledge, and more.
Introduction to anatomy and physiology for a basic understanding of the body’s structure and reaction to physiological effects.
Various skin care methods; Swedish, sports, shiatsu, deep tissue, and more. Develop your skills using techniques such as rolling, wringing, tapotement, vibration, hacking, and more.
Modify reflexology skills to enhance your overall education.
Understand the benefits hydrotherapy, using steam baths, foot baths and various methods to improve the skin and circulation.
Learn about business development, understanding how to sell your services, manage or own your own salon or spa.
